Discipline is not a word most people enjoy hearing. It brings to mind correction, consequences, and discomfort. But in the Bible, discipline is closely tied to love. God corrects His children not to punish them out of anger but to guide them in righteousness. His discipline shows His deep love and commitment to our growth.

The Bible clarifies that God's discipline is not a form of rejection but a sign of belonging. Hebrews 12:6 says, "Because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son." Hebrews 12:11 reminds us, "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
