1. Josiah Became King at Just 8 Years Old
Josiah began to reign after the death of his father, Amon, who was assassinated. Even though he was only a child, Josiah began to seek the Lord.

"Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jedidah..."
2. He Did What Was Right in God’s Eyes
Unlike many kings before him, Josiah followed the ways of King David. He didn’t turn aside to the left or the right.

"And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father; and he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left."
3. He Sought God Early in Life
At 16 years old, Josiah began to seek after God. Four years later, he started to destroy idols and clean up Judah.
