To be made in God's image means people were created to reflect Him in a creaturely way. We were made to know truth, practice righteousness, love others, exercise wise care over creation, and live in relationship with God.

The purpose of creation includes:

• Loving other people

• Enjoying fellowship with the Creator

Sin damaged each of these purposes, but it did not erase them.

Did God Create Sin?

However, Scripture does show that God determined to reveal more of His character through the history of creation and redemption.

This does not make sin good. Evil remains evil, and God judges it.

The gospel does not answer every hidden question about God's eternal counsel. It does reveal the center of His purpose for sinful humanity.

God created us to know Him and reflect His glory. We rebelled and became guilty before Him. The Father sent the Son to live without sin, die in the place of sinners, and rise from the dead.
